We did not forget the kids, where there are many amusement parks and garden for them to have fun, in addition to the entertainment places which meets and satisfy all the tastes and ages such as the entertainment city, Shaab park, Showbiz, Toyland in Ahmadi, etc
the visitor may have a cruise on board of one of the sailboats that are still being built in Kuwait to sail around the islands. there are as well many water sports which maybe enjoyed all year round, not to forget the Hashemi II which was recently inaugurated and registered for entry in the Guinness book of records for being the biggest wooden boat ever built.
The Amusement Park: is situated on the Doha area, 20 kilometers to the north of capital. It covers an area of one million square meters and was officially opened on the 14th of march, 1984. it is a small version of American Disneyland, but it is distinguished by its Arab international qualities. in addition to it recreational and touristic facilities, it assumes an important cultural role through its various sections with their universal dimensions.
one can see there the French Eiffel Tower, the Italian leaning Tower of Pisa, Dutch Windmills, the sea journey of Sinbad through a dark cave illuminated to show the marvelous sites visited, sailing ships in the Arab Gulf, in addition to other natural and historical landmarks in Africa, the East and the West. All these scenes with their scientific and cultural significance are imprinted on the minds of youngsters and adults who have never seen them in their countries of origin.
Al-Shaab sea club, which was inagurated in April 1978, is located at Al-Shib area on the Gulf coastline. it provides entertainment and recreational facilities for it members such as shaded swimming pool, an open swimming pool, and playgrounds for basketball, tennis and volleyball. The club also features gymnasium halls for physical fitness, bowling, sauna, karate and a school for teaching swimming.
There are facilities to practice educational and cultural activities such as board and video games as well as a reading room where people can read and study in a very quiet atmosphere. there are other halls for recreation and entertainment, a spacious green park, and a theater for social and cultural celebrations supervised by athletic educational and cultural experts.
The club also houses a cafeteria and a special dock for about 200 boats and yachts. a large tent with special specifications was pitched for celebrating different national and social occasions. there are many other sea clubs extended along the waterfront.
